Design Engineer

These include the design and maintenance of underground and overhead electricity infrastructure, streetlighting, capital works and maintenance, asset management, and future energy and sustainability solutions. We're looking for an experienced Design Engineer to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative network designs for new connections, capital projects, and internal projects.
In this role, you will:
- Manage projects from concept to completion as per network standards
- Deliver detailed overhead and underground network designs
- Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, and compliance documentation
- Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and performance
What you'll bring:
- 2–10 years' experience in the electricity distribution industry
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred)
- Strong design and project management skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, COLDNet, Neara/LIDAR, and ERP systems (NAVision, Ellipse, or Oracle)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Current, full NZ Driver's licence
