About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Auckland Facilities Services team. This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key clients, ensuring service delivery meets contractual obligations, and identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings and drive business growth. You will act as the primary point of contact for allocated key accounts, overseeing planned maintenance, reactive works, and project delivery, while ensuring service level agreements, KPIs, and financial targets are achieved. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery of all contracted services in line with SLAs, KPIs, and safety standards
  • Lead regular client meetings and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Develop and manage 1, 3, and 5-year asset management plans
  • Identify, scope, quote, and support delivery of additional works and contract renewals
  • Monitor contract financial performance, budgets, and profitability
  • Proactively promote Aquaheat's multi-service offering
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, supervisors, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Champion health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong combination of technical knowledge, client relationship management, and commercial capability. 

Ideally, you will have:

  • A trade qualification in HVAC Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (HVAC preferred)
  • At least 5 years' experience in a facilities or service delivery environment
  • Proven experience managing key accounts or service contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial understanding
  • A proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A current NZ Driver's Licence
